Peptamen® 1.5 is an evidence-based tube feeding and oral supplementation formula designed to meet the nutritional needs of individuals with compromised gastrointestinal (GI) function. This calorically dense formula allows for the delivery of essential nutrition in a smaller volume, making it suitable for varying dietary restrictions and conditions.

The formula s balanced peptide profile is crafted to promote GI absorption and maintain gastrointestinal integrity. It features enzymatically hydrolyzed 100% whey protein, which can assist in enhancing gastric emptying. Additionally, 70% of the fat content is derived from medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which may help reduce the potential for fat malabsorption.

Dietary Suitability and Nutritional Support

Peptamen® 1.5 is formulated to support a range of dietary needs including those for individuals with lactose intolerance, gluten-free, and low-residue diets. However, it is not recommended for individuals with galactosemia. This formula is particularly beneficial for those needing nutritional support due to impaired GI function resulting from conditions such as pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, chronic diarrhea, and more. It also provides support for individuals transitioning from total parenteral nutrition (TPN) or requiring early enteral feeding.
